July 2011....

J-U-M-P at D.A.D....

J-U-M-P attended the 20th annual Disability Awareness Day on Sunday 10th July at Walton Gardens in Warrington.

Our volunteers manned the J-U-M-P stand whilst Tiggeroo mingled with some of the 28,000 people that attended this year's event. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to promote and talk to the public about what we at J-U-M-P do best.

April 2011....

Marathon Man....

J-U-M-P is very proud and extremely grateful to all that fund raise for us, and one such person that did us proud was Colin Burgess. Colin decided he wanted to run the marathon in memory of his brother-in-law Paul Corless, who sadly passed away in 2009. Paul was also a trustee and colleague of J-U-M-P and gave so much to our charity, and so Colin wanted all the proceeds raised from his marathon to support Paul's beloved charity.

Colin ran the gruelling London Marathon and raised an amazing amount of money for us which will go towards creating unique memory packages for many families.

Despite the hot conditions and temperatures reaching 23 degrees, Colin still managed to run the marathon in an outstanding 3 hours 38 minutes and 14 seconds. Colin added, "The whole day was amazing, I was very proud to be running in memory of Paul and the charity he was involved with. The 18 mile mark at Docklands was extra special as all my family and friends were there, this gave me a real buzz." He went on, "The best part of the race was turning into the home straight at Buckingham Palace, then the emotion I felt crossing the finish line and meeting up with my family and friends at Horse Guards Parade. It is something that will stay with me forever." "I would like to thank everybody who supported me and my family"

Thank you Colin....
